Join us for our 2009 Season for
engaging, intimate, professional theater.
Just one year ago 16th Street Theater set out to engage
Berwyn and beyond in the stories of our diverse community.
And the response has been overwhelming! From the press,
from our neighbors, from YOU.
We began with Teatro Luna’s hit show MACHOS, explored dreams and destiny in The
Ascension of Carlotta, featured Elizabeth
Berg, Susan
Hahn and Arlene
Malinowski during Words in Motion and closed with the
powerful KITA
Y FERNANDA.
Now for Season Two we explore identity, race, religion,
the taboo, and familial conflicts. The resounding theme
in these plays is, “Get to know me.” These characters draw
us in, allowing us to see into and finally beyond their skin color, their religion, their disability,
their past. Get to know ME.
Thank you for making our theater possible through your support.
We promise to keep all our stories coming to Berwyn. If you
have enjoyed 16th Street Theater this year, subscribe
now while you're thinking of it. YOU make the
theater live. I look forward to seeing you at Berwyn's
professional theater's at the Berwyn Cultural Center, a part
of the North
Berwyn Park District. |
