Eva Breneman is a dramaturg, actor and dialect coach in the Chicago region. She is enthralled with meaty plays that feature beautiful language and thorny issues. In the recent past, Eva has been fortunate enough to spend an inordinate amount of time working on plays fitting this description with her good friend and colleague, Kevin Christopher Fox.
Originally from everywhere and nowhere, Eva has lived in Chicago since 1994 and can truly say that it is home sweet home--although she does have a tendency to leave town a lot to visit her far-flung family and friends.
Since receiving her graduate degree from The Central School of Speech and Drama in London, Eva has worked as dialect coach and dramaturg for several Chicago and regional theaters, including Steppenwolf, Goodman, Court, Writer's Theater, Remy Bumppo, Milwaukee Rep and Timeline.
Eva is proud to be a production affiliate of Lookingglass Theater, having coached and/or appeared in many of their recent shows.
Eva lives in the Andersonville area on the north side of Chicago, where she delights in the leafy trees, quiet streets, ample Swedish cinnamon rolls, and her large amber-furred cat, Leo. |
