Anna is originally from Atlanta, Georgia where she spent her whole life believing life outside of humidity did not exist. That was until she moved to Colorado to go to school and fell in love with the great outdoors and sunshine 364 days of the year. As passionate as she is about hiking, camping, sleeping under the stars . . . she decided to move to Chicago after graduation to pursue acting.
Since she has been here she has enjoyed working at such theaters as Chicago Dramatists, where she is an Associate Artist, Chicago Jewish Theatre, Raven, Circle, and the Apollo Theater among others. She was at the Gift Theatre this past winter with White People directed by Michael Patrick Thornton and is currently back on the Jefferson Park stage performing in Wit directed by John Gawlik. Anna also recently had her first full length play, Sweet Confinement, produced by SINNERMAN Ensemble, a theater company born of The School at Steppenwolf, which just closed it's sold out run at The Side Project.
She is a proud graduate of Colorado State University and the School at Steppenwolf and she is a founding member of SiNNERMAN Ensemble as well as the Artistic Director. She is grateful and appreciative to have found such a wonderful community of artists in Chicago to share her passions with and she is excited to be working with Kevin, Ann and the 16th Street Theatre crew. |
