Michelle Rossi is thrilled to be working with 16th Street Theatre as the Stage Manager for Kita y Fernanda. This will be her first show to confirm that receiving a Spanish minor was a good idea. She graduated from Valparaiso University with a double major in Theatre and Creative Writing.
Her previous stage management credits include Trust with Open Eye Productions at the Raven Theatre, Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm with Theatre-Hikes, and A Bitter Taste and The Tricky Part at Bailiwick Repertory. She also assistant stage managed Barenaked Lads, Marlowe, and A Kiss From Alexander at the Bailiwick, where she completed an artistic administration internship. Other credits include a stage management internship with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre for Seussical and sound board operator for Dangerous for The Shamelessboyz of London.
While not hiding in the tech booth running shows, Michelle is also a designer. She has worked with Next Theatre (The Busy World is Hushed – prop design), Light Opera Works (Gigi – prop design), Hell in a Handbag Productions (The Birds – prop design), Point of Contention (Vanities – prop and hair design), Piccolo Theatre (Lust, Lies and Marriage – co-costume design), and Bailiwick Repertory (A Man of No Importance – costume design).
In addition to remaining overly involved in the theatre community, she is involved with her church, regularly reading in Spanish and participating in the creative arts liturgical team. |
